11 Months To Go

Remember last month when I made my 25 things before I’m 25 list?  I thought it might be time for an update, especially since I haven’t had much time to bake lately (obviously because I am so busy crossing things off my list! ha-ha not so much).  I think the real reason is because I don’t want to have to HANDwash the 17 spoons, 11 bowls, 23 measuring cups, or 2 dreadful beaters from the hand mixer that I will dirty in the process.

1. Go to a professional basketball and hockey game.
Went to a Mavs game!  We won!  And James made the big screen say “I Love You Emily”.  (Insert Awwww here)

2. Complete a 365 Days in Pictures Project.
Check me out- still going strong! I will admit some days it’s tough, and I feel like I am always looking for potential photo ops, but I have only had to take one “oh crap its 11:55pm and I haven’t take a picture today” pic.

8. Buy a “big girl” camera and learn how to use it!
Proud to say I am the owner to a new Canon! I bought it before our trip to Disneyland for Bellaroos birthday, and I LOVE it.  Still working on the learn how to use it part.

11. Learn to like to cook.

I bought Jessica Seinfield’s (you know, the one who hides broccoli in her brownies) book ‘Double Delicious’ and have already tried several of her recipes.  Now if I am being completely honest here, I haven’t *actually* put any of the secret, hidden, veggies in.  I bought the cauliflower though! I should get points for that right? It’s just sitting there in the crisper, staring at me every time I reach past it for the cookie dough.  The *important* thing to remember here is that I am enjoying cooking!

Jessica’s Macaroni and Cheese
18. Grow my Etsy store.
My Mia made these sweet little aprons! I am still working on all my other ideas, but I did have my first sale!

Zebra patchwork
22. Find the perfect pair of jeans.
I wont say I have found *the* perfect pair, but I have found my new favorite pair.  I have lucked out lately finding longs, which for me is better than buried treasure or gold at the end of the rainbow.  I even got two pair at Target for $4.98ea!!!
23. Dress for me one day a week.
I have been making progress on this.  I actually wore high heels last week for the first time in months.  (My shins were screaming for days and my flips flops still aren’t speaking to me)
25.  Eat the best cupcake I’ve ever had.
Still searching.  When one of my girlfriends and I traveled to St. Louis last month we stopped by Sweet Art… but I have to say, I was disappointed.  (I think it was the buttermilk)  Super cute shop though.

I think I’m going to have to plan a “Cupcake Crawl” through Dallas when the weather gets warmer… who’s with me??

Are you keeping up with your resolutions?
