Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread
How long does it take you to adjust to “springing” the clocks forward one hour? Usually it takes me a couple days before I stop saying “Well, REALLY it’s only –subtract one hour here-”. James is just hoping this means BellaRoo will sleep in an extra hour in the mornings. I blame daylight savings, but I just could not get it together this morning after losing that hour of sleep. Feeling guilty about missing church, we decided to take a trip to the park and enjoy the beautiful weather and celebrate God’s glory outside. Read: I also had three bags of stale bread I had been saving to feed the ducks with that I wanted GONE from my kitchen.
Loved this little guy. Well, I’m assuming it’s a guy?
Surprising how white their feathers are.
Excuse me, I’ve got an itch.
Took a while but he finally came over
And then promptly turned up his nose at our whole grain white bread. When I threw away the bread bags I noticed the trash can was FULL of them. Sunbeam, Mrs. Bairds, Texas Giant… doesn’t look like they miss too many meals. Wonder if they have a preference? “Oh man, here’s the lady that always brings the pumpernickel!”
This one apparently didn’t mind Mrs. Bairds. This was about the time I began to have flashbacks of a story where my older sister gets chased by a goose. Back away from the BellaRoos.
James petting one of the ducks, and thus probably exposing all of us to the bird flu.
And e coli.
(Don’t worry Mom we all washed our hands so thoroughly that I’m not sure even the FBI could get our fingerprints)
Racing down the slide
BellaRoos pulls ahead!
It’s a photo finish!
I know I only lost an hour but I am also blaming daylight savings for this weekend going by too fast. Someone owes me an hour. I need to get to bed… but REALLY it’s ONLY 11pm!
This Wednesday I am going to start a new posting series featuring recipes from the weekend before. Look for my Weekend Recipe Wrap Up!
