Not M.I.A, just a M.O.M

I have been so busy this past month, I wish I could say I was out working tirelessly for world peace or nursing baby animals back to health or something uber productive like that.  Instead, I have just been trying to keep all my balls in the air between work and school and family and laundry and dishes. 

Here’s the highlights reel of my time while I was M.I.A being a M.O.M:

I brought a Perfect Brownie Pan… and let me tell you… perfect brownies, my friends.

BellaRoos started kickball.  Yes, it’s a real sport.  Yes, it’s cuter than you can imagine.  And yes, I didn’t think I was quite busy enough so I decided I needed to volunteer to be Assistant Coach.  I played in the very same league for almost 10 years growing up.

Missy Loo is feeling much better.  You may remember I posted she was having some trouble with her hips, but after a B12 shot, some vitamins and supplements, and some doggie acupuncture, she is moving around great and doesn’t seem to be in pain.  What, you didn’t know they do acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments on dogs?  I’m drawing the line when she starts wanting monthly pedicures and facials though.

We had our first pet causality.  Well, I guess I should admit, technically, this was our second.  One day at Walmart (how many stories end well after starting with that?) I got suckered in to buying a Betta for BellaRoos.  We named him Marvin… but poor Marvin didn’t make it a month.  Not ready to explain that, I quickly, and quietly, replaced him.  Sheltering BellaRoo from the facts of life?  Maybe.  Too exhausted to explain the concept of death over a $4 fish?  Absolutely.  So thus Marvin (2.0) was dumped into the newly vacant bowl.  Well, last week Marvin took his final swim, and I decided it was time to tell her rather than keep replacing this stupid fish for 14 more years.  So the next day we had a flushing funeral ceremony and BellaRoo…. Didn’t even care.  Well, there ya go.

I took a beginners earring making class with a friend of mine.  Gotta say though, I’m a little too OCD and too much of a perfectionist to pick up this hobby.  Stressed me out trying to get my earrings to match each other haha.

I’ve been perfecting my Pecan Pie Cupcake recipe for Cupcake Camp Dallas this weekend.  It’s not too late to ‘Like’ my picture.  Read more about it here.

To be fair, since I’ve mentioned all the other children, I should add it was also Meow Meow’s birthday.  I tried to make her homemade cat treats… epic fail.
