Yep, you guessed it… then comes a baby in a baby carriage! Although, I can’t for certain say the last time I’ve seen a baby carriage. Irregardless, as I like to say, we are expecting and couldn’t be more thrilled!

I found out on Christmas Day- Hubs and I had planned to go to his uncle’s house that evening but I wasn’t feeling well. As I lay there on the couch I thought… what if… so I jumped in the car and drove to CVS for a test. Why is buying a pregnancy test slightly embarrassing? Is it because the clerk knows what you did in order to need this purchase item or is it because we all know I am going home to pee on a stick? Irregardless, she wished me luck that “it turns out the way I hope”. Ha-ha.
What do you know… two very faint pink lines. So of course I did what any normal person would do (right?) and wrapped that bad boy in a box for Hubs to open when he got home. He got home and I handed him the present, and he started to very slowly unwrap it while telling me some story that I couldn’t repeat back to you if I wanted to because I wasn’t listening. He finally opens the box and said “What is this? Why would you wrap a negative test?” And I said “Um, look closer dear”… he double checks and then triple checks and says “Oh, well in that case.” Ha-ha!

Against popular opinion, we told our daughter and families right away. We are both horrible at keeping secrets and even more horrible at lying. We put BellaRoo in a “Big Sister” shirt and waited for the fam to catch on.
We found out at 17weeks that we are having another baby girl! This completely shocked us all, except for BellaRoo. When we told her it was a girl she gave an unenthusiastic “Yeah, I know” ha-ha. I honestly hadn’t even really considered it being another girl. At first I was a little shocked not to be buying blue this time around, but I think I’ve recovered…
We have since decided on a name, Sophia Elise, and started decorating the nursery. I have already decided that this is going to be my wild child, my penance for my early years, and there is no way I will be lucky enough to have a second baby as easy as BellaRoo. If our 3D ultrasound was any indication, we are in for it. Miss Priss refused to show her face, but gave us clear shots of her booty.
So to continue my ‘wild child’ theme, I am doing everything in animal prints and currently loving anything and everything pink leopard. (I’ve since heard that Snooki is pregnant, due around the same time, and also loving animal prints… I promise you will be able to tell our babies apart… as mine will be the paler of the two without the spray tan.)
This pregnancy has been so different from my first. I have had morning sickness, zero energy, and just been a lot more uncomfortable this time around. I’m finally feeling better these last few weeks and have been able to do more than lay on the couch. Let’s hope that keeps up!
