My daughter loves to do word searches! We are on the cusp of starting to read and really working to sound out words. We found, mostly by accident, that word searches are a great tool for this. Just about every “Kids Menu” has a word search on it these days, which is how we discovered this little trick.
So for some summer learning and Fourth of July fun, I have created this word search/ coloring page that you can download and print for the kiddos.

Thanks for the nice July 4th Word Find. My dad is in a skilled nursing facility in another state and I’m going to color this and send it to him in a letter. There aren’t a lot of words like some and he won’t get frustrated. I know he’ll love it.
