If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed the other day when this piece of happy mail arrived.

With it came an invitation to sample some of GODIVA’s latest creations- the all new Trufflelata™ and Soft Serve.  Each truffle inside the box I received represented the delicious flavors available in the new Trufflelata™: Chocolate Lava Cake, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Crème, Hazelnut Crunch, Milk Chocolate and Oreo® Cookie. With a truffle in every sip, GODIVA’s Trufflelata™ is a brand new, one-of-a-kind frozen treat that transforms traditional shakes into a delectable and satisfying beverage (retails $6).

I got to try each of these flavors, starting with their most popular- the Chocolate Lava Cake.  Dark, rich and oh-so-chocolately, this shake features GODIVA’s Chocolate Lava Cake Truffle – made of dark chocolate liquid fondant with dark ganache inside a dark chocolate shell.  Topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate drizzle, it was so decadent.  Everyone in the group enjoyed this flavor- even those who don’t usually gravitate to dark chocolate.

My favorite of the evening was definitely the Oreo Trufflelata™. This sensational shake brings together white chocolate, OREO cookies, and GODIVA’s Cookie Dough Truffle – made of cookie dough ganache in a milk and white chocolate shell with dark chocolate chips.  Topped with fresh whipped cream and crushed OREO.

I love the idea that you can select your favorite truffle and have it blended into your own Trufflelata™- much like you would order a fancy drink at a coffee house.  Personally, I don’t drink coffee, but a creamy, cold, blended truffle is something I can get behind!  The perfect treat for a hot Texas summer day.

We ended the evening with GODIVA’s new Soft Serve- made from premium and authentic Belgian chocolate and is available in three different flavors: Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate Vanilla Bean and Swirl, and can be enjoyed in a variety of premium Belgian waffle cones, each one dipped in either milk or dark chocolate, or in a traditional five ounce cup (Retails $6).  I opted for the White Chocolate Vanilla Bean Swirl in a cone dipped with milk chocolate… and it did not disappoint.  So creamy and full of flavor.

It was so fun sampling all of the yummy flavors, and spending time with some local bloggers at the GODIVA store in Dallas.  The manager was so sweet and you could tell he really took pride in telling us the history behind the brand and their passion for premium chocolate.
