I started making this trifle a few years ago for a Halloween party, and I’ve made it every year since because it’s so yummy, and SO easy! Trifles are one of my favorite things to make for a crowd, they are easy to serve and look like they took a lot more time and effort than they really do. I usually make this with whipped cream and use food coloring to make it orange, but when I found this seasonal TruMoo Orange Cream Flavored Milk I knew it would be perfect for this!
Are you a fan of chocolate and orange together? I feel like most people love it or hate it, kind of like red velvet. I was a little skeptical about how this milk was going to taste, but it really does taste just like an orange creamsicle! It’s creamy, and not overpowering. TruMoo is fresh from your trusted dairy (with no artificial growth hormones or high fructose corn syrup) and provides 8 essential nutrients that kids need for critical development stages—making it a nutritiously delicious win-win for moms and kids. One 8-ounce serving of TruMoo provides as much calcium as 5 cups of broccoli and as much potassium as a small banana!
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2 cups TruMoo Orange Cream Milk
- 12 mini Butterfinger candies (optional)
- Prepare the cake mix as directed on the box. I bake mine as a 9x13 pan; it's easier this way to cut into pieces for the parfaits. Prepare the pudding mix as directed on the box using the TruMoo milk. After the cake has cooled completely, and the pudding has completely set, layer the parfaits inside mini canning jars. Top each parfait with crushed Butterfinger candies or chocolate sprinkles.
