About

I love to bake more than I like to cook and I love to make ‘pretty food’.  I’m [secretly] obsessed with cake pedestals and have a small collection going.  I love all things vintage, turquoise, and handmade.  I am the product of a SAHM (stay at home mom) who has been married to her best friend for 30+ years.  I’m trying to follow in her footsteps while juggling a career, 1.5 kids, graduate school, a firefighter husband, one dog that thinks she is a person, one dog that thinks he is an escape artist, and a cat who thinks she rules the house.  (And let’s be honest, most days my house looks as if it is run by animals.)

I created this blog as an outlet to allow myself to do something fun.  I quickly get caught up in the things I have to do– school, work, washing dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, solving the problems of the world- which always seem to begin and end with “What’s for dinner?”.

Here at Sweet Bella Roos you will find recipes, crafty stuff, DIY, design tips, printables, mom talk, random life stories, and opinions of a 20-something as I strive to love the life I live.  I’m a big believer of changing the things you can and accepting the things you can’t in order to live your best life possible.
